This animated anthology series features original stories from iconic video game worlds. Video games have made a huge leap to the screen, and we’re celebrating the genre by taking a closer look at over 50 video game adaptations. Clive Standen will reprise his voice character, Demetrius Titus, the protagonist of the Space Marine 2 video game. This episode takes place after the events of the game.

Film Junk Podcast: The Episode is mentioned. 973: Carry-On (2024). Expanding the video game medium with talented fan-made content on a shoestring budget is great, isn’t it? The first 8 episodes are great, each one encapsulating its own universe.

I’ve seen the criticism

Saying they didn’t risk their show. Did you see the Pac-Man episode? Because I did, and it looks like they had a good chance there. The visuals are amazing, every graphic style seems to be well chosen and mastered (as we’ve come to expect from Love Death and the Robot Team) which bodes well for the future, allowing it to expand beyond the video game medium.

Have you played the game???

It’s full of Easter eggs, without the hassle of the show pointing me towards every detail that screams at me. This is already incredible in the world we live in. It’s the first time that people who love games have taken the risk of expanding the medium and making fans happy. But the beauty of it is that even people who have never played the game can enjoy, understand and empathize with the characters, which I think is a huge challenge they overcame.

The show clearly has its flaws, some episodes weren’t as great as others (I’m looking at you New World). Yes, some episodes were short, yes, some of the jokes were a little far-fetched, I never said it was perfect, it was great.. "One Hundred Years of Solitude" is one of the biggest TV and streaming premieres this month.
