The Jackal is an elusive assassin who makes a living by executing hit movies for the highest pay. He soon meets his match in the ranks of a tough British intelligence officer who tracks him down on a thrilling cat-and-mouse chase across Europe. "The Day of the Jackal" is a novel set in 1963 and revolves around the assassination attempt on then-French President Charles de Gaulle.
I love everything Eddie Redmayne is in
The show moves the setting to the present day. Reference Graham Norton and guests: Denzel Washington/Paul Mescal/Saoirse Ronan/Eddie Redmayne/Blossom (2024). He has a vulnerability that just keeps me from wanting to get into the characters.
Neither her acting nor her on-screen personality is worthy
Here’s what a cold-blooded killer is, it’s a stretch, IMHO, but it makes sense if it’s “hidden in plain sight”. As others have pointed out, the female lead just ruined it for me. It’s a mystery to me why she keeps taking female roles.
Her character doesn’t help her either
We have so many other talented actors to choose from. I didn’t think much of her in Captain Marvel, much less liked her having the 007 number, and now it just ruins the scenes every time she appears. I’ll see the series through to the end, but…
Season 2 has already been renewed
so sad that this episode won’t be a rewatch. I don’t know how the story will play out yet, but I hope Bianca’s character is changed somehow.
